Jet Airways Pays Tribute To Women With In-Flight Movie Festival As Part Of Its ‘Celebrating Womanhood’

Mumbai,February 25, 2009: As part of its ‘Celebrating Womanhood’ initiative,Jet Airways,India’s premier international airline, will launch a special in-flight movie festival on select domestic services, for the month of March 2009.*

The airline will screen a host of acclaimed, women-centric Indian and international movies, as well as short features on Jet Airways’ award-winning in-flight entertainment system.

The Hollywood movies to be screened focus on women who have made a mark and dared to do things differently, and include such films as Australia, Changeling, The Edge of Love, The Secret Life of Bees, Happy-Go-Lucky, Thelma & Louise, The Color Purple, Erin Brockovich, In Her Shoes, Contact, Norma Rae, Revolutionary Road, The Other End Of The Line, Casablanca (1942), Pride and Prejudice and Waiting To Exhale (1995).

Of the Indian language films, on offer are popular movies such as Fashion, Daman, Khubsoorat, Arth, Nikaah, Seeta Aur Geeta, Guddi, Damini and Saas Bahu Aur Sensex are the movies from India that will be screened.

The short features to be screened include Hollywood Spotlight: Jennifer Aniston; Planet Rock Profiles: Estelle; Peschardt's People: Virada Nirapathpongpor; Glamorous; On The Couch With Koel: Sushmita Sen; Hot Seat: Priyanka Chopra; Planet Bollywood:The Big Story - Miss India 2008; Beautiful People: Deepika Padukone; Koffee with Anu – Season 2; Big Fish: Vinita Bali; The Big Interview: Tina Ambani and Stree Super Achiever.
