Jet Airways Presents Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire To A Lucky Winner As Part Of Anniversary Celebrations

Mumbai, March 24, 2009: As part of its Anniversary celebrations, Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, presented a lucky winner, Mr. Sudhir Hoshing, with a brand new Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire car.

Jet Airways & Jetlite Introduce New,Low 30-Day Advance Purchase Fares For The Approaching Holiday Season

Mumbai, March 23, 2009: Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, and its all-economy subsidiary JetLite have introduced new, low 30-Day Advance Purchase fares, effective March 24, 2009.

With the introduction of these attractive fares, travellers can now enjoy low fares suitable for families to plan their holiday travel on Jet Airways and JetLite.

Jet Airways and JetLite guests who purchase tickets on domestic sectors 30 days in advance may now enjoy low airfares starting from INR 2,071 for Jet Airways, and INR 1,722 for JetLite. Jet Airways Introduces A New Daily Service,Direct To Kuwait From Mumbai

Mumbai,March 05,2009: Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, will launch daily, direct services to Kuwait from Mumbai, effective March 29, 2009.*

This will be the airline’s second daily service to Kuwait from India, complementing the airline’s existing Kochi-Kuwait service.

Jet Airways will operate the new flight aboard a state-of-the-art Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Flight 9W 572 will depart Mumbai at 1900 hrs, arriving in Kuwait at 2030 hrs. Flight 9W 571 will then depart Kuwait at 2130 hrs and arrive in Mumbai at 0400 hrs.

According to Mr.Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, CEO, Jet Airways, “Jet Airways has already established itself as a formidable brand in the intensely competitive India-Gulf sector in a relatively short period of time, on account of the warmth of its service and quality of its in-flight product. We are confident that the new Mumbai-Kuwait service will prove similarly popular with passengers.”

In addition to Kuwait, Jet Airways also flies daily from India to Bahrain, Muscat, Doha, Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the Middle East.

Jet Airways To Introduce State-Of-The-Art Boeing Service On The Mumbai-Lucknow Sector

March 04,2009: Effective March 29, 2009, Jet Airways,India’s premier international airline,will introduce its first service in the Mumbai-Lucknow sector.

The airline will operate the new service aboard a state-of-the-art Boeing 737 aircraft with a dual class configuration: Economy and Première.

Jet Airways flight 9W 665 will depart Mumbai at 1110 hrs, arriving in Lucknow at 1320 hrs.Flight 9W 666 will then depart Lucknow at 1350 hrs,arriving in Mumbai at 1600 hrs.

The new service will complement the airline’s existing daily flight from Delhi, offering passengers from Lucknow enhanced connectivity across India as well as several destinations across North America,Europe,Asia and the Middle East.

Jet Airways To Launch ‘Celebrating Womanhood’The Introduction Of In-Flight Collection Drive For NGOs

Mumbai, February 25, 2009: Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, will launch its ‘Celebrating Womanhood’ initiative with the introduction of an in-flight collection drive for five Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) working on a range of women’s issues.

Coinciding with Women’s Day, Jet Airways will activate this in-flight fund raising programme on all domestic services,between March 1 and March 8, 2009. This is in keeping with Jet Airways in-flight collection programme for Save the Children India (STCI) since 1997. It may be pertinent to note that part of the funds collected onboard Jet Airways’ flights are allocated towards imparting vocational training to young women in Mumbai’s urban slums.

The NGOs selected by Jet Airways are:

Muktangan is an NGO that aims to empower women by providing career opportunities through training to teach in schools.

Navjeet Community Health Center, an outreach wing of The Bandra Holy Family Hospital, works with the urban poor to promote women's empowerment through income generation, adoption of BMC schools, Community based Organisations,Mahila Mandals,Self Help Groups, Specialised skills training, Personality and Leadership camps.

SAHAS is a project of the K. J. Somaiya Medical Trust that aims to reach out to and support those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS: to work to halt the spread of the disease with empathy, responsibility and dignity.

Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP), meaning Self Education for Empowerment, is a learning and development organization based in Mumbai, India. SSP supports 60,000 women organized in dynamic networks of self help groups SHGs and networked into self governed Sakhi Federations. Working in the disaster-prone terrains of three Indian states, SSP has nurtured around 850 women retail entrepreneurs with a total consumer base of 63,000 families and cumulative earnings of Rs. 2.3 crores.

Mijwan Welfare Society was established by the late Kaifi Azmi in Mijwan Village in Uttar Pradesh, and seeks to emancipate young underprivileged girls by providing them an opportunity to learn skills in a safe and healthy environment.

Naresh & Anita Goyal Receive “International Entrepreneurs Of The Year” Award At House Of Commons,UK

London February 27,2009:Naresh Goyal,Founder Chairman Jet Airways,and his wife Anita (Neeta) Goyal, Executive Vice President Revenue Management and Network Planning for India’s premier international airline, have been voted “International Entrepreneurs of the Year” by the readers of Asian Voice, the highest circulation newspaper among the Asian Community in the UK.
